Become a Microscope - 90 Statements on Sister Corita

Artwork by Sister Corita

Recently I was invited by superproducer Alex Dervin to animate artwork for a short documentary called “Become a Microscope – 90 Statements on Sister Corita” directed by Aaron Rose. The above serigraphs were made by Sister Corita Kent, an artist and nun who introduced pop art to the Catholic community in LA. The film turned out brilliant and is worth going well out of your way to see.

Some of the clips can be viewed here.

Fergie shows us her WMV windows, then proceeds to take us to the club.

I had the pleasure of working with Motion Theory last October as one designer among many on the HP Hands spot featuring Fergie. The frames above show a scene that I had a big hand in designing.

The above excerpt can be viewed here.

California Meth Initiative- Choice

Style frames for short film entitled "Choice"

Style frames for short film entitled "Choice"

This is one of the ones that got away. For these frames I collaborated with Eyes of the World Media Group to design and concept an animated video for the California Meth Initiative. The video was intended to raise awareness of the pitfalls of meth abuse to teens. In the narrative our main character is faced with serious life challenges ( represented by graphics) and must choose between a life with or without drug abuse in order to cope. The funding was pulled from the project and we unfortunately unable to get beyond the design phase. This would have been a doozy.

At Capacity Studios I helped texture map the above Star Wars: Clone Wars characters for their amazing Cartoon Network promos. These were created using a combination of Cinema 4D bodypaint and photoshop.
